DESCRIPTION:
In 2010-2012 I embarked on a two year Americorps program. As part of my team service project, I directed a documentary film with a team of 8 Americorps members for the International Institute of Wisconsin. The film is a feature length documentary called Burma, Wisconsin which highlights a refugee's experience upon entering the United States and the increase of Burmese refugees to the region.
My role was co-director with Ahicar Cruz. I was fully involved in the creative direction of the film through the editing process, planning interviews, and leading the team through the process of the filmmaking from planning, production, to post production and planning the film premiere.
