HARVEST DAY FESTIVAL

ROLES:

Marketing

Event Planning Support

Technical Support

Sponsorship

Youth arts activity station planning

Volunteer management

Harvest Day is the largest festival in the Lindsay Heights neighborhood, organized by Walnut Way. Harvest Day is a great opportunity to instill community pride and celebrate the amazing talent in the neighborhood! We shine light on local businesses by hosting over 50 vendors each festival. We have a kids zone that includes a variety of arts activities like Kohl's Color Wheels and MSOE STEM Activities. Live music is featured each year with full bands, DJs, and rappers.

I play a lead role in planning the event with the Festival Coordinator Consultant. As the Marketing and Communications Manager at Walnut Way I create sponsorship  packets and correspondences. I lead all marketing efforts including hiring graphic designers and professional artists like Reginald Baylor Studio for poster design and T-shirts. I design and implement media campaigns, press releases, social media, event signage, and t-shirts.
